Power Play is an “escape room” style game where you must use your cunning and intellect to figure out the puzzles. But these puzzles can be tough to figure out! Most of the puzzles have little to no instructions on how to solve them. It’s up to you and your friends to analyze the puzzle and see if you can figure out what’s going on. Think hard, work together and do your best!

This solution can be found by focusing only on the right side of the text (Pierre’s part of the conversation.) Students must write down the “direction” words (up, own, left, right) and enter them in the order in which they appear on Pierre’s conversation.
Hint #1:It’s a one-sided conversation.
Hint #2:Focus on the right.
Hint #3:The directions are in Pierre’s text messages.

This solution can be found by competing the alphabet on the cover of the code book. Once all the letters have been filled in next to their morse code equivalents, the students must deduce that the waves are dashes and the drops are dots. Then they must find the appropriate set of dots and dashes/drops and waves to find the letters that make up the word.
Hint #1:Take note of the yellow pad.
Hint #2:Is that Morse code?
Hint #3:Finish filling out the letters on the book's cover, then use it to crack the code on the pad.

This solution can be found by figuring out that the dates are subtraction problems. Once they solve the subtraction problems, the students must associate the number and the shape on the adjacent map marker. The students then enter the shapes in ascending order, from lowest to highest.
Hint #1:I wonder if you can make any calculations here?
Hint #2: It is usually best to put things in order.
Hint #3: The dates are subtraction problems. Do them then match the shapes of the locations to the numbers 1-5.

This solution can be found by figuring out there are certain words which are italicized (leaning). The students need to enter the numbers in the order in which they appear in the research notes.
Hint #1:It’s a fact: water is important.
Hint #2: This puzzle leans towards being hard.
Hint #3: Some words in the message are slanted. These are the numbers.

This solution can be found by focusing on the colors which are spoken. To get the colors in the correct order, the students must begin listening to the voice immediately after the ascending (upwards) notes and stop listening after the descending (downwards) notes.
Hint #1: Things go up, things go down.
Hint #2: Sometimes you start in the middle.
Hint #3: Start listening for the colors after the notes ascend in pitch. Stop listening for colors after the notes descend in pitch.
