- Electricity helps power our everyday lives. Electricity is a form of energy that powers things like lights, computers, TVs, and many of the devices we use every day. It is created at power plants and delivered safely to our homes.
- Stay away from electrical dangers. Never touch power lines, substations, transformers, or anything marked with a Danger High Voltage sign. If you ever see a downed power line, stay far away and tell an adult right away.
- Water and electricity don't mix! Keep electrical devices away from sinks, bathtubs, pools, sprinklers, and wet hands. Mixing water and electricity can be very dangerous.
- Play it safe around electricity. Only plug the right things into outlets, don't overload electrical outlets, always unplug cords by the plug (not the cord), and make smart choices whenever you're around electricity.
