About The National Theatre for Children
The National Theatre for Children (NTC) brings learning to life through theatrical all-school assemblies, print and digital curriculum, professional development, extracurricular events and volunteers-in-the-schools. We’ve spent decades turning the art of storytelling into a science, and today our award-winning work reaches schools across the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
We believe in the power of live educational theatre to teach, entertain and inspire. Since 1978, we’ve delivered free programs to schools across the country, reaching more than 30 million children along the way. Over the years, we’ve expanded beyond live performances to include digital games and activities, educational graphic novels, workbooks and teacher guides, and specialized classroom visits. Each program is customized to fit the message of its sponsor, whether the topic is conservation, STEM, digital citizenship, health and wellness, financial literacy or other subjects that matter to today’s students.
