The National Theatre for Children

The National Theatre for Children (NTC) is an award-winning educational content provider whose methods include theatrical all-school assemblies, print and digital curriculum, professional development, extracurricular events and volunteers-in-the-schools. NTC has developed the art of teaching through educational story-telling into a science of its own, and is an international company with operations in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

Here at The National Theatre for Children (NTC), we are dedicated to educating young people on important and timely curricular subjects by offering professional live theatre to our nation’s schools. All of our productions are offered FREE to schools thanks to the support of sponsors committed to teaching important societal issues to 6-18 year old children. Our programs tackle important life lessons including energy conservation, the environment, health care, financial literacy, smoking prevention, nutrition, recycling, bullying, water conservation, electrical safety, and more. Based in Melbourne, NTC has developed the art of teaching through a combination of live theatre, television, print and digital learning into an evidence-based science of its own. Since 1978, we have been privileged to enjoy the trust of educators and connect with students and parents across the world. NTC routinely reaches 2 million children throughout any given school year, making us the largest touring children’s theatre in the world! We get to teach, entertain and inspire. It’s creative and fun. And we’re dead serious about it.
